Spring Break Mission Trip – Waco, TX 2017

This year, students traveled Waco for a spring break full of mission work, fellowship, and worship.  The group stayed at World Hunger Relief Farm and partnered withMission Waco.  Throughout the week, the group had opportunities to work on the farm, on home sites, and even lead a devotional for a group who was staying at a homeless and transitional housing ministry, My Brother’s Keeper.  During their devotional time, students read the entire book of Mark and learned that “our faith is personal, but it is not individual,” through daily check-ins with their accountability groups.  Check out the pictures below to see more of what the group joined in what God was up to in Waco!

Mission Trip Stuff and Mail 2017

During Sunday School this past Sunday we had an opportunity to send out fundraiser letters for youth missions! We loved having all the youth together for a time of fellowship and prayer for what the Lord has in-store for the upcoming mission trips!

West Virginia 2016

In June, we had the opportunity to serve the surrounding communities of Panther, WV! We dispersed into teams to work on different work sites helping repair homes in need! The Lord met us in unforeseen ways! Adam challenged us throughout the week with this motto, “God’s up to something… Be a part of it!”

Great Escape 2016

We had a blast with the Rising 7th and 8th Graders at Great Escape! We enjoyed playing games, listening to speakers, white-water rafting, small group time, and going to the lake!

Spring Break 2016

Over Spring Break, FPC High School Youth hopped on a plane and headed to Texas! They spent the week camping and serving in the surrounding communities while also getting to explore The Lone Stare State!

Waverly Belmont Service Project

FPC youth gathered breakfast and lunch foods for metro students at Waverly Belmont School who would not be able to access free breakfast and lunches from their school over Spring Break.  On Sunday, March 13, Ninth and Eleventh Grade classes packed 47 boxes of food to be distributed at Waverly Belmont School for the spring break week.  All grades helped by sending in food items for the boxes.  Each box contained ten breakfasts, ten lunches, and a variety of snack items.

MLK 5K Run

On Martin Luther King day this year, we had the privilege to gather a group of youth and staff to run a 5K 4 MLK benefiting Barefoot Republic. It was probably the coldest day 2016 has seen yet, but that did not stop us from having a great time for an incredible cause!

West Virginia Mission Trip

We got the chance to spend a week in West Virginia serving a community in need. We loved getting to spend time serving and studying God’s word together.

Spring Break

This Spring Break we headed to Harlingen, TEXAS to work with We GO Global!! Harlingen is located in South Texas and is “the heart of the Rio Grande Valley in South Texas.” We camped out, we cooked our own meals each day, we had campfires, and rode in 15 passenger vans! We worked on home repair and building projects with families in the community.

It’s the time of year again for our mission trips!!  We just returned from New Orleans with the 9th – 12th graders and had an amazing time.  We served at different schools around the area, fed the homeless, and worked outside on different types of projects.  The week was amazing and the Lord was definitely present!  Check out some pictures below….
